Like a lot of things in life, less is more. And I find when it comes to skin care I couldn’t agree more. I see people use vast amounts of products everyday with hope that it would make some difference, but the truth is it actually won’t. All you need are simple basics that do the job properly. My skin is my favourite part of myself, so my skin care is something I pride over. Here I will share with you my top skincare products that should be staples in your routine and wont brake the bank.
Origins Refreshing Scrub Cleanser: From their ‘Ginzing’ collection (which is my personal favourite), this 2 in 1 scrubby cleanser is fortified with radiance boosting Panax Ginseng and energizing coffee beans, perfect for waking your skin up in the morning. The tiny scrubbing beads help to unclog pores making your skin look and feel smoother and brighter. In the morning my skin is usually greasy from the night before, so this does the best job of wiping my skin clear for the day a head. I usually use twice a day to keep my skin squeaky clean. At an easy £18 I have repurchased it a numerous amount of times and will be for the foreseeable future.
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion: This is a product I’ve been using on my skin for at least a decade. Growing up this would be the resolution for most of my skin issues, whether it was nasty sunburn or crusty winter skin. One of Clinique’s best sellers, their Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion is a product that never seems to fail me. It gives skin the "drink" it needs to maintain optimal moisture balance and glowyness.
The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter: With today’s environmental issues I try my best to make as many conscious decisions with my lifestyle choices, my skincare included. Ever since discovering this product a few years back I haven’t used face wipes since. The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter is a rich cleansing butter which is the most luxurious way to remove every last trace of make up while purifying, cleansing ang refreshing your skin. Because it’s a butter it leaves your face feeling unbelievably soft, unlike other make up removers which may leave your skin feeling tight and dry. So why don’t you make some changes in your skincare that are great for your skin but even better for the environment.
Soap and Glory’s Scrub Your Nose In It: Personally my main problem area of my skin is my blackhead on my nose so it was important for me to find. Product that actually worked. I don’t know exactly what the science is behind it is but all I do know is that it really works. It helps to exfoliate, clean and purify the skin, lift away pore-clogging dead skin cells, soak up excess oils, and stimulate fresh oxygen to your face. The extremely fine beads in the scrub truly dig deep and clear my pores and wipes clean all blackheads, there is nothing more satisfying than using a product that actually feels like it’s doing something. This drugstore product should be next on your wish list.
Vaseline: This may seem like an obvious product that everyone already has lying around in their house somewhere, but I think it is defiantly overlooked. This is one of the best multi use products ever, I literally use it for everything! My most preferred uses has to be using it on my lashes (and sometimes my brows) to keep they nourished and healthy. This iconic petroleum jelly is the perfect product when you need an extra shot of moisture.
